Make sure your words have the right impact. My copywriting training will help you write clearly and effectively.

Who’s it for?
Anyone working in a charity or non-profit who writes for the public.
Why take part?
Well-written copy is crucial for effective communications. By making text interesting and easy to read, you’ll engage your target audience and get your key message across.
What does it involve?
I’ll work with you to identify any challenges and what you want to achieve. Through online or face-to-face sessions, we’ll look at what makes good copy and how to achieve it. We’ll review your existing work and I’ll give you constructive feedback. I’ll also set one or more exercises to put your knowledge into practice, providing more feedback to help you progress.
Why choose me?
I’m an experienced communications trainer, having run courses and workshops for clients including NUJ Training Wales, Wales TUC and Cardiff University.
I developed my own copywriting skills by writing TV news scripts for ITV Cymru Wales. At WWF Cymru I wrote articles, press releases, social media posts and more. As a freelancer, I’ve written copy for clients like Living Streets and Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales.
“My training with Richard was extremely useful. It really helped me to understand how to improve my copywriting skills and to feel more confident. It was great to learn how to improve the tone of voice and structure of my written communication.”
– Ffion Burgess, Awen Libraries Marketing Officer.
