Wales TUC

Wales TUC is the voice of Wales at work. It exists to improve the economic and social conditions of workers in Wales, regardless of if they are currently in a job or not.

I have been involved in various projects for the organisation.

Video editing

In February 2023 I edited two social media videos for Wales TUC. This included providing advice on format/structure of the video, editing footage, photos and music they provided and adding captions to meet the organisation’s brand guidance.

Below you can see how the videos were used on Twitter.

Testimonial on the HeartUnions video:

“It was our most popular content during our HeartUnions campaign week we’re all very pleased with it.”

Case study training

In January and February of 2022, I developed and ran two remote training sessions to help staff and members working on the Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF).

The aim of the training was to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to prepare effective case studies. In the sessions we looked at what makes a good case study, and how to plan and develop one in a way that has the desired impact on its target audience.

Testimonial:

“Working with Richard to see an idea form and take shape into a finished product was a positive learning on the job experience. Richard listens! He was able to accurately develop the brief to deliver a bespoke course that met our needs and the needs of the participants. Course attendees really valued Richard’s expertise, thoughtful delivery, and offer of follow up support. We hope to work with Richard again and would recommend his skills and knowledge to any organisation or freelancer that needs communications guidance.”
